Mongolska visoravan je deo Centralnoazijske visoravani[1][2] koji le?i izme?u 37°46′-53°08′S i 87°40′-122°15′I i ima povr?inu od pribli?no 3.200.000 km2 (1.200.000 sq mi). Na istoku je ome?ena Velikim Hinganskim planinama, Jinskim planinama na jugu, Altajskim planinama na zapadu i planinama Sajanskim i Hentajskim planinama na severu.[3] Visoravan obuhvata pustinju Gobi, kao i suve stepske regije. Ona ima nadmorsku visinu od oko 1.000 do 1.500 metara, sa najni?om ta?kom u Hulunbuiru[4] i najvi?om ta?kom na Altaju.[3]
Politi?ki, visoravan je podeljena izme?u Mongolije, Kine i Rusije. U Kini, delovi Unutra?nje Mongolije[5] i Sinkjang autonomnih regija le?e na visoravni. U Rusiji je visoravan deo Burjatije[6][7] i ju?ne Irkutske oblasti.
Istorija
[уреди | уреди извор]Na platou su ?ivele i osvajale ga razne grupe, uklju?uju?i (hronolo?ki) Sjungnu, Sjanbi, Plavi Turci, dinastija Tang, dinastija Ljao, Mongolsko carstvo i dinastija ?ing.
Promene okru?enja
[уреди | уреди извор]Mnoga jezera na Mongolskoj visoravni, poput ?aganskog i Sinkaj jezera, smanjila su se za dve tre?ine njihove povr?ine. Neka su se potpuno osu?ila; jezera Huangkihaj i Najman Sihu u potpunosti su presu?ila izme?u 1980. i 2010. Iako je poraslo nekoliko jezera, poput jezera Isto?ni ?ujan i Had Paoci, u proseku se ukupna povr?ina jezera smanjila za 30%.[8][9]
